There is
nothing like a personalised baby gift to honour the special birth date and name
of a new addition to a family. After all, anyone can buy a rattle or other generic
gift, often hastily chosen, in the closest store available.
But
personalised baby gifts indicate care, love and a desire to honour the young
recipient of these gifts. Parents know that the baby gifts are meant only for
their infant and can't be found just anywhere.
While
personalised baby gifts such as embroidered baby blankets or Christening plates
often arrive ready to give to the lucky recipients (perhaps with a handwritten
note or card attached) why not create your own special basket full of personalised
baby gifts?
Many
selections are so reasonably priced that adding them to an inexpensive basket
costs very little and adds that much more flair. Of course, you can also find
baskets already prepared. Even so, you may want to select your own items and
container.
If you
don't choose a prepared basket full of personalised baby gifts but prefer to
create your own basket, inexpensive ones can be found in many craft or other
stores. Be sure it is the appropriate size to hold one or more of the items
you've selected and add colourful shredded paper or crumpled wrapping paper
with images of infant items on the paper.
While one
gift will certainly be welcome, two or more will elicit even more admiring
comments. Gift baskets also indicate that you have taken extra time and energy
to make an impression. The parents don't have to know that finding and
selecting presents for that new baby by using a personalised gift service was
even easier than using a traditional store full of general infant items.
Consider
striking a balance between personalised baby gifts and something meant just for
the parents alone. Parent gifts can also be personalised, including bottles of
champagne and wine. Everyone likes to receive gifts meant just for them and new
parents are no exception. A personalised singing teddy bear could ease a new
baby into a good night's sleep while that wine could help parents appreciate
the quiet time together - and you'll get extra appreciation for thinking of
both parents and infant.
Personalised
baby gifts also look lovely in any spare tins or containers you happen to have
on hand. As long as they are solid colours, particularly pink or blue, they can
work just fine.
Gift
containers with baby designs on them can also be purchased for very little,
even costing less than a gift card in many cases. If you find the basket or
other container in lovely condition and attractive, so will the parents.
